Professional History

Dr. DuBois stumbled into a career in massage therapy by discovering how effective it was for athletic injuries as an adolescent. She graduated from the Brian Utting School of Massage in 2006, specializing in deep tissue massage and injury treatment. She went on to become certified in craniosacral therapy in 2008, including advanced training in intra-oral massage.  She completed pre-medicine studies and undergraduate work in cultural anthropology at Columbia University, graduating in 2012.

Dr. DuBois graduated from Bastyr University in 2018, with advanced training in constitutional homeopathy and IV therapy.  She spent her first year of practice as a primary care physician in a partial hospital psychiatric treatment center.  This was followed by a fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Paul Anderson, where she specialized in procedures such as IV therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy in treatment of complex chronic illness and integrative cancer care.  Dr. DuBois spent her COVID quarantine year becoming certified in clinical hypnotherapy and completing  an additional residency at Full Circle Natural Medicine, where she provided a naturopathic approach to primary care, complex chronic disease, and mental health.

Philosophy

Dr. DuBois’ philosophy of care operates from the idea that illness is never random, and physical health is fundamentally connected to emotional health. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation on which all of the magic happens - a patient must feel comfortable enough to tell the truth about what is really going on and trust the doctor they are working with in order to do any productive healing work. Dr. DuBois strives to treat the doctor/patient relationship as a collaborative effort and use every interaction with a patient as an opportunity to provide trauma-informed care and prioritize social justice.
